Taichung:
Taichung is the third largest city in Taiwan. It has a population of approximately 880,000 people. The history behind this city is that it was created during the 17th century by some Chinese settlers. Taichung is two and a half hours journey from Taipei, Taiwan’s capital city. It is common for its parks and night markets. Over years, Taichung has experienced real growth changining its fortunes as a small village when it was established to one of the largest cities in Taiwan.
The city’s two offshore islands and its proximity to the pacific make it popular amongst expatriates and tourists. Taichung is an excellent place for fun-seekers and cost of living is definitely not as expensive as Taipei.
